Terms and Conditions
Karaoke Direct extend all manufacturers guarantees to its own customers in addition we also offer a comprehensive twelve month parts and labour guarantee on all products sold, other than fader/crossfader pots, budget microphone cables, lamps and styli and any failure caused by misuse, short circuit or over running. Such guarantees may be exercised within twelve months of the original purchase date by returning the faulty product to us, together with the original purchase receipt or a copy thereof. The guarantees are applicable whether the goods have been bought from our premises or via mail order.
All guarantees are on a ‘Return to Base Warranty‘; at the customers expense both to and from Karaoke Direct.
Any item found to be faulty from new from the box, which cannot have it's problem solved by a simple change of fuse or a loose connection, etc. shall be replaced with another brand new item. In which case we will require immediate notification in writing within seven days of the day of purchase.
Before offering a replacement, we reserve the right to ascertain that the product has not been misused or damaged by the user in any way. Karaoke Direct do not accept responsibility for the suitability or specification of any product with regard to the customer's intended use. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to establish to their own satisfaction the specification and suitability of the product offered.
The Long Distance Selling Regulations apply to mail order customers only, where you have up to 7 days from receiving your order to return it for a refund.
The items must be un-opened, un-used and in the original packaging. The customer should then ensure the items are sufficiently packaged and also within an outer packaging for protection and return the goods back to us enclosing a copy of the original receipt with a note confirming that you are returning the goods within 7 days. We will then issue a credit for the item(s) less a £15 surcharge to cover both our delivery, packaging and administration costs. Should the items arrive back ‘not as new’ then a full refund will not be given.
We cannot refund cd media due to copyright, although any discs found to be faulty upon delivery will be replaced free of any charges after it has been return to Karaoke Direct.
Any shortages or damages must be notified immediately to Karaoke Direct within forty eight hours of receipt. It is the responsibility of the customer to check deliveries and if they do not have time to do so, then they must sign as ‘unchecked’ Karaoke Direct are not liable if the customer has signed for the goods as being in ‘good condition’.
Whilst Karaoke Direct undertakes that every effort will be made to ensure that goods are delivered promptly, no liability will be accepted for delay in dispatch or delivery of the goods.We will only arrange carriage collection from a customer at no cost if we have delivered the wrong goods and the mistake is clearly our fault. For small items where we have delivered in error, we request that the customer returns the package to us via recorded delivery, the expense for which shall be fully re-credited.
Payment terms
All major credit and debit cards are accepted as well as cash, postal orders, bank draft, cheque, or direct bank transfer. Cheques must be supported by a valid cheque guarantee card or where the cheque exceeds the cheque guarantee card limit they must be cleared before the goods can be taken away or delivered. Ownership and title in all goods taken from or delivered by Karaoke Direct shall pass to the customer when full payment has been received and cleared to Karaoke Directs bank account. However, responsibility for the risk or safety of the said goods shall be that of the customer from the time possession is effected.
Delivery We will send out the majority of items on the same day if purchased before 3pm week days. If there is a problem, or the item is out of stock or on order, you will be contacted immediately with a delivery time. We use a next day carrier service, so please advise us of any special delivery instructions, as you will need to sign for your items.
Karaoke direct will not be held liable for damage or injury caused by products supplied by Karaoke Direct which are misused or incorrectly installed.
Your statutory rights are not affected in any way by the terms and conditions stated or implied.
WEEE Regulations
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
We are obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us. Customers must return their like-for-like WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and be disposed of separately from normal household waste.
